Gerhard H. Schildt:

Earned his doctoral degree at Technical University of Braunschweig/Germany on time synchronization of mobile communication links. Lateron, he joined the company Siemens AG and was responsible for safety related hardware and software development as a deputy director. In 1988 he became a full professor at university of technology Vienna for computer science and is now head of the Institute for Computerized Automation. His research activities are focused on security of IT devices, embedded systems, safety-related system design, and fuzzy controllers. Additionally, he is engaged in a tight cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in order to develop a guideline for security of IT devices. His hobbies are playing tennis and chess.
